LEAKING AS PUBLISHING WORK - Photo credit: ©The Book Photographer
Leaking as publishing work is a publication about whistleblowers who leak information to disclose
the truth. I see the act of whistleblowing as the act of ‘making public’. Whistleblowing through the lens
of urgent publishing. The urgency to publish for the public good.

LEAKING AS PUBLISHING WORK - RESEARCH - Photo credit: ©The Book Photographer
In the second part of the book, I show my research on how the context of the whistleblowing case -
the environment, and the nature of the information - influences the publishing work, and how the
approach to publishing can increase access to truth.

PARALLEL PARIS - MAURITS PEETERS - Photo credit: Maurits Peeters
This book aims to continue to shed light on Paris' suburbs and provide another frame.
One through which we measure our relation to the banlieues of Paris, which are a crucial part of the
city's true identity.

SEAT AT THE TABLE - ÉTEL - Photo credit: Maurits Peeters
Seat at the Table. is an ode to the work and journeys of leading Black creatives that shape today’s
culture in The Netherlands - and beyond.

OP EEN GEGEVEN MOMENT - JAN & TETSKE FELEN

The book is about a boy growing up in the Utrecht neighborhood of Zuilen in the 1960s and 1970s;
about how he remembers the common habits of that time, his family, and the memorable events of
his childhood.

SKIN (IN ITS OWN RIGHT)
'SKIN (In its own right)' presents a new perspective on the skin. Several essays deepen and underpin
the three chapters. Skin as an organ, skin as a boundary between inside and outside, and skin as a
surface for projection. As a curator, I synthesize all the building blocks while providing the reader with
insight into how the elements came together.

GKO DOCUMENTS
A research document about the influence of big data on our society. The role of empathy in echo
chambers, the Cambridge Analytica scandal, whistle-blowers such as Julian Assange, Brittany Kaiser
and Edward Snowden and what influence data has on our democratic process.

S.O.S. - SOCIETY OF THE SPECTACLE
In November 2019, the event S.O.S. – Society of the Spectacle took place. During this event, a series
of interactive installations were opened to the public. These projects were created to question the role
of graphic design in the Society Of the Spectacle. My poster design was chosen from 60 posters to
announce this event online and offline.

DRAW WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED
JOY! By drawing the alphabet with my eyes closed, I gave “coincidence” a role in my design.
